Honest conversations about corrections, leadership, and the weight we carry home. Two perspectives. One shared purpose.
Bringing the work, the people, and the conversations together.
Sgt. Gray brings the mission of Behind the Wall, Beyond the Game to the conversation: officer experiences, wellness, and helping families understand what the job can carry home. His focus puts the people behind the uniform at the center, creating space for honest conversations about life inside the walls and beyond the shift.
Grant Shepherd is an Army veteran, corrections supervisor, and author of The First Line Supervisor and The Difficult Officer. He brings practical lessons from the floor: coaching new deputies, addressing difficult behavior, and supporting the people carrying the shift. He’s also the creator of The Corrections Watch.
